Technical Preview and $CHART holding requirement for core feature update: ChartEx Accounts — Part One
This article will be published in two parts — the first part is a technical introduction to ChartEx Accounts, the second part outlines the CHART holding requirements for these new features and can be read here.
Since the launch we’ve been heads-down, delivering on performance improvements, capacity increases and progressing with our commitments to you by way of core feature releases. We’re very pleased to share a brief walk-through of our Accounts feature, which sits central to being able to tie together all of our upcoming releases in allowing you, our CHART token holders, to have exclusive access to our new features and subscription products.
The first feature we’ll be launching is something that we’ve seen and requested by our users time and time again — the ability to pick up where they’ve left off and retrieve their charts.
There’s nothing worse than your browser crashing, accidentally closing the wrong tab or experiencing a power failure and then seeing your carefully-crafted technical analysis disappear, never to be seen again. As a CHART holder, this won’t be a problem for much longer!
With a focus on user privacy and security, we’ve architected a simple, but incredibly secure means of you interacting with core ChartEx services via your Web3-enabled wallet. What this means is that you can trustlessly identify yourself to ChartEx without sharing an email address, username or password and still enjoy our full suite of services, both as they exist today, and as they evolve and develop.
You’ll just be required to connect your Web3 wallet, authorise it to interact with Metamask (or your supported Web3 wallet of choice), then sign and return the message we send to you. This proves to us that you are who you say you are, and then that’s it, you’re logged in. Your account will be provisioned and you’ll be able to access more features dependent on the CHART tokens you hold.
We’ll share more demo content as we approach the public beta period, more information on this will follow.
